My Philosophy
Photography is more that just pushing a shutter release button and recording an image on a digital sensor or a piece of film. It is a way for me to express an opinion or an emotion that I cannot find adequate words. My imagery adds interest to newspaper stories or print media that may otherwise not have been read, it may sell a product or a service, or preserves memories of a special event for loved ones.
It is argued that fine art photography is created for the aesthetic principles of art, rather than the selling of it. Although my imagery is primarily commercial, I feel it incorporates elements that can be considered fine art photography.
The viewer brings their own background and experiences and can reach their own conclusion on my images.
